Built on Experience Focused on Your Game
My name is Mitch Larson, and I am the founder and owner of ML Golf. I began playing golf at eight years old, and over the past 20+ years, I have had the opportunity to build my career around the game I love.
I graduated with a degree in Turf Management and have spent my career working at some of the most respected golf clubs and courses across the country. Including three top 100 golf courses in the world and countless other high end private clubs. I have also been fortunate to have worked at several outstanding courses throughout Washington State,
While my professional background is in golf course management, my passion has always extended beyond maintaining the course. I have a deep appreciation for learning, playing, and teaching the game of golf, and I enjoy helping golfers develop a better understanding of what they are doing and, more importantly, why they are doing it.
My own playing experience has taken me through more than 25 years of competitive golf. I have played to a handicap as low as +1 and currently play around a 5 handicap. Along the way, I have had the privilege of learning from accomplished playing and teaching professionals who have helped shape my understanding of the golf swing, course management, and the fundamentals that allow golfers to build a dependable game.
My Approach to Instruction
I believe golf instruction should be welcoming, enjoyable, and simple to understand. My goal is to simplify the game.
Rather than trying to rebuild every aspect of your swing, I focus on understanding your goals, your current abilities, and the fundamentals that will help you become a better golfer. We will work on the basics of grip, alignment, setup, ball position, posture, and swing mechanics, while building an understanding of how those pieces work together.
Learning to play golf is about more than simply making a better swing. Course management, decision-making, short-game fundamentals, putting, and understanding how to practice effectively are all important parts of becoming a better golfer.
Whether you are picking up a club for the first time, trying to break 100, working toward single digits, or looking to take your competitive game to another level, my goal is to give you the knowledge, confidence, and tools to enjoy the game more and continue improving long after our lesson is over.
Golf is a game that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. My goal is to help you build a foundation that allows you to do exactly that.
